It's a common narrative that Kim Kardashian is a ditsy socialite, with no talent, who does not deserve the money and fame that she has. Now it’s easy to analyze and critique the way in which Kim Kardashian rose to fame with the release of her infamous sex tapa and the questions concerning the origins of the release. However it is what Kim Kardashian actively chooses to do with her fame and power that makes her one of the most successful business women of our time. Hi, I'm M.E. and I will be presenting the accomplishments of Kim Kardashian, the empire she has built, and how she strategically and successfully made “Kardashian” a household name.

Kim Kardashian’s catapult into the business world and great success over the past decade makes her an ideal walking business model and one of much interest. The reasoning behind this study of Kim Kardashian is simply because her particular road to success is an uncommon one. We live in a society where certain behaviors and standards are forced upon us consciously and subconsciously. We are told that things must be done in a certain order. Such as years of education, graduation, you get a job, get married, have kids and so on. Kim Kardashian is the epitome of a successful business woman, she is a college dropout, not particularly known for a talent in any skill, and yet has accumulated a net worth of $1.4 billion dollars with a multitude of businesses and various endeavors. It is one thing to get lucky and see success but when it is maintained and built upon to unimaginable levels, there has to be brains and talent behind it.

Kim Kardashian unconventionally rose to fame and fortune and maintained her success through much more strategy and brains than we can imagine. Her ability to monetize herself as a brand is quite unbelievable and something to be admired. When it comes to personal branding let’s just say it’s an art that she has mastered. Kim has created and developed many businesses centered around her own personal branding from makeup lines to body shape wear. Her businesses have seen constant success and are still currently growing and developing every single day. She has made such a name for herself that people will genuinely buy anything from her just due to the brand. Now if that isn't success I don't know what is.

Now although I can appreciate and admire all that Kim Kardashian does when it comes to entertainment and businesses, it is what she has begun to do with prison reform that makes her most admirable. According to cbsnews.com, “Kim Kardashian has been instrumental in funding the legal fees for vital attorney representation, transportation for newly freed prisoners so they have a ride home to their families and reentry costs related to our clients' smooth transition back into society." She has supported 17 prisoners' release from prison and their ongoing incarceration. This is something she is choosing to use her power towards, and it is inspiring to see her passion towards such a good cause.

To say Kim Kardashian has no talent is simply not true. She may not have a traditional talent that usually makes people famous but it is best put by theodysseyonline.com. They aren't actors or singers, like many celebrities are famous for, but they are talented in different, less traditional ways. The Kardashians are geniuses when it comes to marketing themselves and creating their personal brand. They took an opportunity and have turned it into a billion-dollar empire. Whether you love them or hate them, everyone knows who the Kardashians are, and everyone in the industry is talking about them.” People hate Kim Kardashian because to some she is seen as a wealthy woman, undeserving of the fortune that she flaunts online. Yet Kim Kardashian is not only to be praised and admired by the strategic ways she grows her fame and wealth but also what she uses her power and platform to achieve.
